What is the best suspension I could get for my ´95 wagon? I have tokicos on the back and stock fronts, but I can feel all the springs aren´t good. Should I go with coil-overs, or is there really no point to that if I´m not racing it right now? Thanks for any input.

What are your plans for the wagon? Do you plan to compete in it? If so, what type of racing?

Also, is it your daily driver? Do you drive it in the snow? Do you use it to haul heavy items frequently?

I´m thinking a 2.0L rotary (minor mods: 550 hp or something) when I get the money, but for the type of racing I´m into I don´t need a fast motor yet...

Types of racing: Autocross soon, TSD rallies. Nothing tough on the car, but I´d like to be able to turn a little better. I´ll be getting a strut mount brace soon.

No heavy pulling, don´t want to scrape my bumper like the little ricer boys around here.

I hear eibachs w/konis are good, but wanted to hear everyone here first, as you all have escorts.

Tockico blues are excellent, as are the S/R struts from oemfordparts.com (needs new ZX2 thrust bearings and enlarged upper mount holes...easy to do). Eibach and H&R are excellent springs.

I know a gentleman from the Detroit area that cleans house in autocross in his stock EGT and he basically runs on the Blues and a set of Potenzas.

Autocross is more about the driver than the car. TSD is more about rhythm than pendulum turns and handbrake slides.

Right now i´m giving the Sprints a try to see how the work out.

The S/R´s are coming in really soon....so I get to try out this setup for a while.

where can i get ahold of those tokico struts for $310??? I´m very interested in buying a pair. I have a 92 egt. Also, I think the kyb´s for the pre-zx2´s sucks, they are the white monotubes...they dont make the adjustables for the 2nd gen escort.

BTW...if you get them.....pay a bit more and get the ZX2 thrust bearings as well....you´ll need them!

When ordering the struts, can you order the new thrust bearing with them? Or do you have to get them at the dealer, and if so, you have to get the ones for a ZX-2 right! I have a set of PROGRESS 1"75 Front and 1"50 Rear drop spings. Will the KYB´S work just as well as Tokicos or will either of those be a good combination for my car?

Kyb´s will be just fine.
Ryan works at a Ford Dealership...so he can get the bearings as well if you want to order from him. But, Yes, the bearings are a dealership thing.

Well, I am not employed by a dealer, but I have very good connections.

So far, so good with my setup. I´ve put about 25,000 kms on them, to no problems. Consider me happy!

(Yes, 25,000 kms since February. I drive 200 km a day, at least)
