Thats right, a Buick Regal GS pulled up behind me, i dropped to fourth and floored it, meanwhile he´s passing me...passing me...passing me...passed me....gaining from me... 3 car lengths ahead...4...5...f*&k it says GS. no wonder...
Thats right, i got completely MURDERED going 95+ mph on the highway just minutes ago. But as soon as I saw him pull around me i Knew it was a GS and I was dead. :-o

The torque put out by that motor is like 280 lbs/ft at around 4000-ish I think.

James - ever look under the hood of one of those? It´s all engine. Big ass block with the blower nestled between the banks.

when you said "Death to my 1.8" I thought you´d been rammed. I´m glad you´re willing to share your losses as well as your wins with us.

well James if you want a little piece of advice to save yourself the agony of defeat, do not try to beat a Bonneville that says SSEi that little"i" is a the difference between a dead heat (if you get the holeshot) and blown away. Just a plain 3.8 will be a lot to handle. the blower just makes it freakin´ scream!

My sister drives a Regal GS. We were working once and she wanted donuts. I wasn´t doing anything so she tells me to go to Tim Hortons.
"My car´s gettin fixed remember? You drove me"
"Take my car. Scratch it and die."
"Fair enough"

I don´t think I´ve ever gotten wood from exiting a parking lot but godamn. This thing was amazing. Straight, flat road and I´d squeal the tires with even a bit too much pressure on the gas. *Jizz*

I´ve seen under the hood of a Grand Prix GT, but only seen pictures of a GTP. I´d love to have a Camaro with the 3.8, a Grand Prix GT/GTP, an SSEi, or a Regal GS if at all possible, thats why I asked if you recomended the GTP a few months back. ;-)
If I got the Camaro or G.P. GT I could always supercharge it later on and not pay higher insurance premiums. :-]
But yeah...I knew I was dead when I had 4th gear floored at almost 100 mph and he was gaining on me, passed me, and then just kept on going. :-o
I didn´t feel bad for my car considering what he was packing. but I did feel pathetically outrun... :-|

#1 the bonnevile SSEi isn´t that fast, as I kicked ones ass in front of my highschool illegally after a school band concert while waiting for my mom, muahahaha. lol
#2 yes... those regals are DAM fast cars, but think about how much gas that thing used.
#3 the GTP is sweet assed... it is now my job to clean them at my local car lot, lol, sad part is I have to clean the cavaliers too :-Y .
#4 You think you jizz from a little engine like they have in the regal? Come sit in my Corvette ;-) :p 560FT/LBS TORQUE BABY :-] , shes good for 6 inches off the ground on the front end... :-o :-]

In what your corvette? Your little MX-3 will not stand up to a Supercharged 3.8. No way... I don´t believe it. And don´t try to convince me otherwise unless you have video of it. ;-)

I found a place here in Michigan that can either turbo or supercharge my GT.
They said the supercharger would limit the power but really increase low end torque. With a turbo I could go from daily driver to race mode (increase the boost) just by using my laptop. Any suggestions? My brother and I will be touring the shop in about 8 weeks.

Def go with the turbo there is so much more that can be done with them. SC´s are much better for bigger engines. You wanna talk about getting wood my bro just put in 4:10´s in his ´00 stang GT he didnt jsut chirp third gear he screamed it. he also got some new tires so we got to "Wear down" the old ones. What beter way than to do some good old donuts in the parking lots and some smoke shows :-] ...GOOD TIMES!!! :-o

I´d be real interested in knowing what setup they´re using for a supercharger. Whether it´s integral to the intake manifold like a Jackson or turbo-style like the Vortech´s, and if a Vortec, how they´re driving it. I can´t see how to install a Vortec without losing either the power steering or the A/C compressor.

Hey Zee did you know that Oldsmobile made a car named Aurora with the supercharged 3.8? I saw one sittin in the parking lot at one of the jobs I was at last week. I see Auroras around but I´ve never seen one that said ´supercharged´ on it. I´ll have to be careful around those on the highway :p

Yeah, I always liked the Aurora´s. I knew they came with a 6 or 8, but didn´t know anything about supercharging. Makes sense though.

I got the ´opportunity´ last night to really wring out the GTP. Had to take my daughter to the E.R. (she´s fine now). Still amazed at how much punch that car has. It just MOVES.

I was comin home earlier tonight and this car pulled up next to me, i really wasn´t in the mood to race, good thing cause as the dude pulled away from me I noticed it was ANOTHER black Regal GS. I was like shit if I even did try I woulda had my ass handed to me. I got my new system in my car, I think I´m gonna settle down with any racing for a long time. at least until i get my engine turbo´d and dropped in my car. ;-)

I just did a 4way brake overhaul on my car - new bushings, springs, pads etc. The works. Must have had some serious drag on the rotors cus the car is much quicker now. My handling weirdness is gone too - right front was seizing up on rotor causing it to dart to the right. Finally can drive normally again.

On the Escort - only this morning it´s started acting funny again. I´d like to drop by Merchants and tell them to just take the thing apart. This is getting old.

Got to drive the GTP yesterday in the rain. Even with traction control, you have to feather the throttle or it´ll just spin the tires off.
