thats got to be a torque monster. I'd love to have it...but your right, its too much $ for the advantages it has. On a fwd car it would be redix anyway. wheel spin all day.

Raising the thread from the dead, but does anybod yhave any follow ups on that Focus supercharger on the Escort Zetec engine? Drop that combo in a sedan and presto.. 3rd gen LX-E! Do the Escort's SPIs and Zetecs use the same tansmissions?

I know RIPDOTCOM supercharged his Escort..but that was on a 1.9 or a 1.8..I dont remember. I doubt anyone will ever swap the Focus Zetec and supercharge it. Shit, alot of people won't even supercharge their V6 F150s because of the modification involved. To put it plain, go with a turbo. You can pull more out of it on most engines. I know of V6 F150 with a single T65 that put out 425 HP..the stock motors make about 160 RWHP.

Ford owns Mazda so naturally they'd be compatable, just like I bet Lincoln and Mercury engines are combatable since Ford + Mazda + Lincoln + Mercury = Same company but the Ford is the Main one

Ford owns 1/3 of Mazda. Which is why Mazda's are better because they aren't stiffled by Ford.

If youv'e ever owned an older Ford you know they change things in mid run. I had a 73 Torino that ended up with a Ford van 302 and C6 in it with a 9 inch rear end. Dealer said it never heard of that, but all the numbers matched and it was a biotch to find motor mounts for.
On further investigation by the dealer they found it was a mistake where a motor got into the wrong line somehow. The factory was so interested they sent someone to look at it. When they pulled the mounts they found out they were van mounts flipped side for side and mounted upside down.

AND it was built on a Monday.

Quality is job one....AFTER the hangover wears off! :D

Aren't those called paxton superchargers? They're turbos without the exhaust. Still as stated before, a waste of tune if you are seeking big numbers.
