whats to be heard about supercharging an escort is it possible has anyone heard or done this before just brainstorming and that one came across. i looked all over this site and others and heard nothing of it. would any one be able to let me know about this? im not very knowledgeable about how exactly all the fuel management works with forced induction but i get the basic picture of how a setup would be, but if anyone knows lemme know it would be greatly appreciated.

money. it's all custom, and get a RRFPR, cheap and dirty way to do it. I'm not sure how many pounds the stock injectors will handle, but I'm sure the gtx injectors would do just fine.

That's amazing. I was going to use one of those to supercharge my old supra but then decided it was going to be too much work. But with the intake setup of these cars it would actually be fairly easy.

The reason why people dont do it that much is because supercharging a 4 banger is a terrible way to make power. If you do any research at all, you will find that it suck's with any small displacment motor, does'nt matter if it's a Ford, Mazda, Honda, Scion, Nissan or what ever. It's hard to make respectible useable power with a supercharger. The power curve sucks and the tq is hardly any higher then N/A.

Agreed, as I drove a supercharged Toyota 1.6L that had its torque peak by 5k rpm...topped out making 150 hp. It was surprisingly slow for that power rating, too.

twin screws arent real good for small displacement engines. Better to go with a small centrifugal supercharger if you do go the supercharged route. Just rip out your AC and mount it in the open spot.
