Has anyone used some struts to hold up the hood on there car?. Like I thought about taking the ones from a f150 and drilling out the holes and bolting them up so all I have to do is lift it and not have to have the rod holding it up.

there was a guy at carlisle last year that had struts on his ZX2 hood. he had them done there at the fairgrounds by a company that specialized in it.

I know when i had My PT cruiser you could buy kits for them. one of the first things i bought. If you have ever seen the prop rod for a PT Cruiser you will know why they are needed. Heard many horror storys about the hood being closed and folded beacuse the rod is so small.
be a great idea for any car that uses a prop rod.
I've seen them on S10's to.

Might be a project and a marketable idea.

Is there any similar cars that would swap over? I know when I had my MX6, the 929 had hydraulic struts on the hood that would swap over to the MX6 withg little to no modification.
