I couldn't find where this subject had been previously address, so will ask it here:

For those who have changed their strut/springs, did you have to also replace the strut mounts, or were the existing mounts still in good enough shape to be reused. I admit I know nothing about the mounts and whether it would make sense to spend the extra $120 getting 4 new ones when I upgrade later this year.

Thanks.

if not replaced they have to be instpected VERY well. The rear one have a common problem of rusting through. It is not fun when you are driving and suddenly see your strut push your speaker out and poke up into the car! I would say if you have the funds just replace them and do it right the first time. but overall i would say yes replace them.

My local dealership wanted to charge me over $300 for the set of 4. My front ones are in good shape, bearings, rubber and all. The rears will need replacement soon because of the rust. I figure for a little over $300 I can work out some solid mounts w/ adjustable camber. (btw, I was going for the ZX2 mounts because I heard they were firmer)
