Will an aftermarket wheel and hub for protege/323/mx3 work on a 2nd gen escort column? If you installed a hub, did you have to trim cover for fit?

pretty sure the mazda column is splined, where the ford column is round w/ 2 flats. i dont think they are interchangeable.

I have found a Grant 6 bolt hub online for about $40, but I don't trust it will fit. I am going to check out what a parts store can do soon. I have a replacement column for the car, so I want to pull the wheel to know what I am looking for. I plan to relocate the cruise switches to the center console; not willing to lose that.

I got the hub from zxtuner as well. Because I had horn buttons on the Pilot 5-bolt wheel I got, so some minor mods had to be made for proper fitment. I also devised a great horn contact. If interested in what I did, just ask.

I love the wheel, it's grip is thicker and now I have leg clearance.
