i have a 1995 escort lx with a bpt swap and have a sparco wheel to install in it and have been given two hubs to install in the car and neither have matched the steering column.Just wondering if i could get any help in finding a hub to work

^^ I have that one. What bolt count is your wheel? Mine is a 5 bolt. I had to mod hub to allow for my horn wires. I also had to rig up a "GM" style horn contact.

I believe you are right. I had no worries; I have a '91. Most cops wouldn't even notice, let alone known what cars came with air bags during those years. IMO, removal should be an option.
