I´m looking for some sort of an answer to this life long problem with the idle my 1995 LX seems to have. Its stock of course and I just adjusted the idle the other day. I´ve got it idling at about 1400 in park and 1k in drive, but when I turn the air conditioner on it drops to 500 and below. Also if I turn the wheel to far and the air conditioner is on the car will die. Why is this?

Also when I am accelarating I hear this weird noise coming from the engine, it some what sounds like hail falling on the street (if ya know what I mean).

Any help is greatly appreciated. It´s been bothering me for a long time, I just want to get it fixed.

Ok yesterday I went and picked up some Accel 300+ wires for $65 and some Bosch Platinums $8. I also got a Ford Code Reader for $32 so I can check my computer and see whats wrong.

The guy at Kragen told me that doing a tune-up isn´t neccesary to fix my problem with the idle but I decided replacing my plugs and wires with higher end stuff would improve my cars performance anywho. Is my assumption correct?

Anyone have any suggestions?
