I had a problem that I posted here before of a squeal in a 98 Ford Escort ZX2. Changed the belt no help. Alternator, no help. Oil separator, that was it no more squeal. But last night we were out and it started back up. The car would do it when it was hot no mater what, but after we they changed they oil separator it stopped, until now. Its been out of the shop for a week now and I don't no what I should do. They had to replace to take of the cat to get to the oil separator, so they changed the gasket. I am wondering if I have a clogged cat that the back pressure is blowing out the gasket.

Check out the little flange that is on your fed' regulation pipe.I bet that weld on that little flage broke and when you hit the gas it viberates producing a very annoying noise.it happened to me on my 97.It's very close to the motor.
