ok...my scort a first gen...LX...1.9L auto. it sputters as im driving...it feels like its gonna die, check engine light goes on. i dont know whats going on. it happens only when im going over 30 or so.id like to know whats going on. a buddy of mine told me it could be timing, another said vacum hose. so what do you people think of my problem

Does it happen during acceleration, cruise, deceleration or all three?

If you stay on the gas does it seem fine?

What year is your LX?

Did you check your computer for codes? You should have some stored codes in your computer´s memory if you have the check engine light coming on like that.

I´m thinking TPS, but would check for codes first.
