Now that I have 15" GT wheels in place of the orginal 14", is there a difference in speedometer calibration between the two cars? Can it be adjusted? Are there different gears for the end of the speedometer cables, different gears inside the instruiment cluster, or something else?
I have a 1996 with 94 GT wheels.

ford gave the escort 175/65/14 tires for the 14 inch rims.Your sticker on your door jamb says you could use 185/60/14.I would think that you not need to plus size them. You could use the regular size tires that came on the gt.Which I think is 185/60/15.You should be fine.Your speedo should read correctly.
