just a couple days ago my mph guage went all crazy - i was going 60 on the freeway, but the guage was going from 10mph all the way past 120mph.

and now its just stuck at 0mph.

how would i be able to fix this, or can i?

i took off the plastic that covers the guages, and i tapped the needle to see if it would move and it didnt. the needle is stuck.

it sounds like a spring of some sort is tangled up when i try and move the needle.

would that still be the cable?

HOMIE...just pull the whole cable out. That simple, these things are cheap as hell. Ive changed mine twice now...only because of installation error. Its simple as hell, simply lube up your new cable and slide the cable into the jacket, casing, housing...whatever your gonna call it. then put the cable in the back of the speedo...any questions?
