I'm getting a 1999 Escort sport 3rd generation and I really don't like the speaker noise. So anyone recommend some speakers that don't require an amp and are pretty simple to install? Nothing crazy expensive, but no crap either.

Thanks for your help!

you can never go wrong with some middle of the line pionners for factory replacements. easy of install and correct sizing goes a long way. that and pionner makes a great daily use product. no bank breaking and will suit your need just right.

for a first-timer, crutchfield is definitely the way to go. they give you the disassembly guides and wiring harnesses to easily install aftermarket speakers.

Kicker makes a great midrange/entry level product, too.

The QS series sounds great for a budget speaker. Probably not quite as cheap as pioneer, though.

What I always do is go to crutchfield find speakers that fit and then shop online for cheaper. I'm mechanically enclined, and my brother that lives with me is an auto mechanic so that's not a problem it's just I want some nice speakers and thought I'd ask your opinions.
