okay today something weird happened with my car. I went to the bank and when i came out my car wouldnt start, it was if i didnt even have a battery in my car. so i went under the hood and fumbled with the negative battery cable and suddenly my car got power again. when i turned on my car it wouldnt idle. when i tried to drive my car there was a huge loss of power and my car suddenly started to buck. it then stalled out again. the weird thing is when i turned the key again it started right up and drove fine..it has been driving fine since 230

i drive a 98 escort with 115xxx miles and its a stick...any suggestions? i think it could be the battery cables being corroded.

i found the problem, it was simple actually.

that little nut and bolt that tightens the cable down to the negative terminal wasnt tightened all the way. so i went to tighten it, and i broke off because the bolt was so rusted  . luckily i have a ton of nuts and bolts lying around and fixed that and tightened up the connector a lot... boy i didnt realize how loose it was

the battery connections on the 91EGT I just got, I don't even know how they work, they are loose and tightened all the way down... haha, glad it was an easy fix though!
