Thanks a lot Blade. I won´t let that go to my head like some people I know. (J/K Siragan) I am always here to help and lend all the knowledge I have to anyone else who needs it. Like I told Siragan when I was chatting with him earlier today, "I wasn´t born with a Chilton in my head..." I know what it´s like to be into something and not know every aspect about it, and doing what I can to find out more info. I was lucky when it comes to cars though. My dad built Race engines for the cars my grandpa owned back when I was too young to even say horspower. So I grew up in the shop and at the track. But I only got so much knowledge that way. The rest I got from books, magazines, and experience. My dad and grandpa taught me how engines work, and how they are built, but when I got my Mustang, I had no idea how to tune it. I could tell you what parts did what, but not exactly what that meant. Thats when I started reading, and talking to other friends who were into cars. I bought 3 books specificly about Holley carburators so I would know exactly how to tune mine. But then that wasn´t enough. I had to know more. So I went to school and got a degree in Automotive Technology. I grew up around Carburated engine all my life, I had no idea how Fuel Injection worked, so I payed extra close attention to those classes in school. Knowing what I did about carbs though I was able to teach most of the guys who only knew about F.I. cars about how carbs worked, and in return they shared their F.I. knowledge with me. The Scort was the first F.I. car I ever owned. Learning is important, but teaching enables a person to learn even better. That´s why I come here almost every night, and chat with anyone who has a question. Sometimes I find myself answering someones question and realizing that I answered a few of my own questions in the process, or getting new ideas from reading various other things. Sorry Blade I said I wouldn´t let this go to my head, but I might have taken this too far. I try to be modest with my knowledge, as to not come off as being a cocky know it all, but it feels good to be recognized. I am by no means a car geniuss. But I do what I can with what I know.
