    I put a wanted add on Craigslist in my area and someone found this. About a 9 hour drive for me but price seems super steep. Is the escort the new Plymouth SuperBird or what?

    If you like the car, you can always offer then $1000 and walk away when they don't accept. Seriously a nearly new ZX2 didn't sell for $3000 recently.

    Here in Cali a semi clean escort with a few issues here and there will go for around $1,400.

    The one the OP posted looks very clean hence why I said it wasn't as outrageous as one would think. Granted it's high but I'm sure the seller is bracing for a negotiation so he's setting the price high to have room to negotiate down. My guess is the car sells for $2400.

    It's $3000 or best offer.

    But if it were identical to your cherished, rusted out first car for example, it would be way cheaper to buy it than restore the rust bucket.

    I have had offers of up to 5200$ to 5000$ and a turbo car that he drove to my house and I told them all no. so I don't thing 3000$ a high price for a LX...mine is a almost mint GT.
