we wre hit heavy in our area too but my car is fine . story time ! went into work today ,(I live near main roads ,so they were cleared off ) and when i pulled in to park there was a ricer sitting there with his big bumper hanging loose . he had apparently tried to use it as a snowplow coming into our parking lot , perhaps . he was a honda accord hatchback with smallish wheels and this big ol` bumper . it was just about right for plowing snow . shouldn`t have had it out . should have kept it in the garage ! heard him say something about twisting brackets off . where i work is on a main drag and the plows just push it all across our driveway making a nice mess . by the way we got 19 inches in basically 1 day . much more than we have had for a while . drive safely .

Yeah, we got a little over 20" here. They didn´t plow out my street until 2pm, but then it didn´t really matter because it took all day to clear the driveway. Now there are 5-6´ walls of snow everywhere. It´ll be a while before everything returns to normal, and yeah, we don´t know how to take it like you Canadian peeps.

I feel for you. Though I´d like to do a little Cdn chest-thumping like Juggernaut, I have to admit that even in Ottawa we don´t often see 50cm of snow all at one time. I´m looking forward to the next post from the N-E US on how to do a suspension LIFT on an Escort. :)

well someone had to sneak in a remark like that from up here :)
but it is very true, it´s not common even here that a huge dump comes all at once screwin stuff up, and a couple feet is A LOT. and dealing with much larger cities / populations, that´s gotta have a much larger effect than in a small prairie town. Good luck down there!

LMAO hell yeah man. My mom lets me park in the garage because "my car is the oldest and needs the most tender loving care" :-] my car was so dry this morning...hehe To top that off she just went out and got a snow blower too, so after work I went to...play! mwuhahaha I wish we had one of these things YEARS ago.. did the entire drive way and sidewalks in 15 minutes. :-o It used to take me at least an hour or so to shovel the damn "important" parts of the driveway. but now it takes me 15-20 minutes to do THE ENTIRE driveway and sidewalks. This is the start of a BEAUTIFUL relationship :p

I´m a pansy, if I shovel like 4 or 5 times my arms start to hurt. and if I wait and the drive way gets slightly packed. it makes it 10 times harder. I´d say my driveway is about 6 or 7 Escort lengths :-]

wow that is a long driveway...i´d say mine´s 1.5 x 1.75 Scorts in area, takes about 20 mins to shovel a decent load ´o´ snow off of it. the most annoying thing, however, is that our driveway is gravel-based pavement (not just plain cement kinda deal), and the shovel always catches on loose stones :-Y
