Thats because the GT was built for the high rpms, siragan. My dad is still convinced that my belt broke because I was winding it out to redline...(not the case, I was shifting when it broke.)
127 hp @ 6500 rpm
114 lb ft @ 4500 rpm
When I drive I try to keep it as close to 3000 rpms as possible. that way if I need the power, all I gotta do is floor it, or drop a gear and it´ll start to climb. I find that I tend to like to go for the revs. I´m a rev chaser, or I´m rev happy. I couldn´t go back to a car that redlines at 5000 rpms. Yeah, you can say that I LOVE my VICS

(Variable Inertia Charge System) for those who don´t know what it is...it´s basically just four butterfly valves in the intake runners that open at 5500 rpms to let the engine breathe until it´s 7000 rpm redline. :-D
I like to see the needle buried at 6500 rpms doing 110 mph in 4th gear...I just did it today for the hell of it. :-o I can´t wait to turbo the car. that´ll be even more fun. ;-)
