Does anybody know if the B&M or Pacesetter shifters work with 1st gen scorts? Anybody used one? How was it? Thanks.

Nope, sorry. There is no short shifter made for the first gens. I haven´t seen anyone that´s been able to make a custom one yet either.

Dudes, i´m telling ya, go to NOPIonline.com there´s a short shift kit on there for the 81 & 89 Escorts from B&M, and all in between I bet.

I have the B&M shifter for escorts, and it only works in 91-up cars. Half of the year listings on NOPI and other sites ate WRONG so watch out.

how do you like it....I hear it is much better than pacesetters (what isn´t) and I think I am going with it...

I like it a lot. They quality is 10x that of pacesetters. That´s why it costs 3 times more. The whole thing is machined billet and it has some high tech bearing (the ball part) that never needs lubrication and is super smooth. It is still much more notchy than stock but that´s got to be expected. I would definitely recommend it.
