yes crankor called me yesterday for a j-spec shop, i directed him they had noine in stock but sent him to another.
look at price and the motor. its not a true gtx

but that is noraml price for a gtx around here

crankor has the red turboed spi wagon fully shaved custom made led taillights and projector headlights.
he asked me about shops there is one here in santa an. they were out of stoclk they sent him to that place. people there didnt know the diffrence int he motor. couse he woudl take the gtr for 600. I would to.

crankor is actually a good guy just got real luky.

WTF if i woulda seen that, in like, a month or so from now, that engine would SO be mine with all my grad money..... people tellin me not to spend it, but it woulda all been GONE if i seen that.......

:cry: now i want a GTR!!!!! either that, or i'll see about finding a 2.0L ZETEC w/a manual tranny, and swap that in, fully build it, and turbo/intercool it, run a nice 1/4 time, make some civic driver **** his pants when i leave him in the dust doin 80 down the freeway :wink:

James do you paln on hitting high 12's or low 13's with your set-up? cause that is what the gtR will let crak0r do daily! even tho he has a semi-full interiored wagon with Haltech E6k. i watched a stripped down protege hit a 12.2 with a stock gtR at 19psi on a stock ecu. im sorry but you better bring more to the table then simple a turbo upgrade. you will need heavy motor mods also.

note a vj-23 is the IHI version of a t-3 and is ball baring. can create good boost to 25-26psi.

Simple turbo upgrade? it's not an upgrade if I don't have a turbo in the first place. Anyway... 25-26 psi is useless on an engine that can't take it.

overbored-ported TB, skunk2 IM, mild head pnp job, edelbrock b16a2 GT28RS turbo kit, straight thru pipe, rs*r 2.5" catback, skunk2 shifter, fidanza 7.5 lb flywheel, act 220mm b-series ai4-xtss clutch, 98-spec jdm-itr-lsd 4.785-f.d. trans, edelbrock fuel rail, injectors, walboro 255lp/h pump, GC coilovers, koni yellow shocks, Falken Azenis 205/50-15s, 11 lb rims, indiglo gauges, edelbrock A pillar gauge pod with boost gauge, gauge bezel with oil pressure, & a/f ratio gauge, 50-100 lb -spoiler, rear seat, carpet, tire, jack- weight reduction, all managed by a Hondata ecu, boost and vtec controllers.

Oh and I still need to add that I'm building a B16 instead of using mine.

Wiseco 9.8:1 pistons, probably going to be bored, honed and sleeved, forged crank, etc.

All I care about is high 13s, but with this setup I could go for a lot higher than 7 Psi.

my 91 near stock gen2 gt was faster then a stock Si is with the same mods. track proven! anyways your set-up looks good just had to see what you where planning. i wish i had a few extra bucks to build a good motor/car. but for now i will be happy using up all my saved up stereo equipment and going slower. LOL

Just because one GT beat out one Si doesn't mean they're all faster stock for stock. 2G GTs run 16.5s... Si's run 15.5-15.9s. It all depends on the driver though...get someone who can't shift the Si for crap, or shifts too early (IE disengaging the higher lobe cams) and the Si is toast.
