    She's alive, ALIVE!!!!!!!!
    Muuuhaaa!
Exhaust is hooked up, all hoses and wires are hooked up, new clutch is primed, new oil in, new radiator and coolant. Started up and sounds awesome! Yeah! all that is left to do is finish hooking up the suspension, hook up the new tie rod ends, lower ball joints and re install the half shafts. Runs real good and strong (Thank God).
Hopefully I'll be driving her home this weekend.

Well I've been driving the car now for a week and the engine seems fine except the annoying oil light on the dash. The oils getting up to the cams so I know that the oil pump is ok, and there is enough oil in it, so it has to be a sensor right?
The only other thing is the car needs an alignment, other than thaT i'M HAPPY!
I'll add pics once I wash it and get the alignment done.

sorry to threadjack (sorta) but how have those lotek struts been holding up?

if you had to do it again would you go with the lotek or stick to the kyb?

To be honest with you,I haven't noticed any difference between the 2 setups.
they're pretty much the same drivability and control. If I had to do it again I'd go with the lowtek set up only because there cheaper.

The car ia aligned, the pesky antifreeze leak has been found and fixed.
Everything is good and now I'm going to tear out the rug this week coming up and give it a good cleaning and repair the little holes in the floor board. will have pics as I go along.
Found a tranny and a good wiring harness for the BP that'll eventually make it into this car for $100 from a friend of a friend. All I'll need for the conversion now is an ECU, exhaust mani, and motor mounts, I think thats it.
After the holidays and after we buy our first house after February, I'll start on the swap, until then I'm going to freshen things up that need it.

    Will update!

Looking good! Was the red car the donor? Found that the 95-98 Accord rear lip sections can make for good rear bumper flares...

No, thats my EGT project! I have 2 projects going at the same time.
She's a little rough looking but cleans up really well when I take a buffer to her.

What suspension set up are you running? I see you have the Lotek shocks, are you also running the spings from Lotek? I wanna get the stance like your scort... I hate the look of my stock right height lol also is the setup you have adjustable?
Thanks and awesome build! I enjoyed scrolling through it!

No I'm running N1 coilovers on the silver one, and DropZone coilovers with KYB struts on the red one. Yes they are fully adjustable.

Had a little set back today. The damn starter went on me today, no worries though, I still have my old one from the old engine.
I have some time today, I'll switch them when it gets a little warmer.

Put some mazda mud flaps on the other day and smoked my taillights a little more. Hopefully if I have time today, after swapping the starter, I'll beable to install my new GT 3 piece spoiler. If all goes well I'll post some pics.

Thanks for the reply. I'm ordering a set of ksport coilovers here soon but I have a major set back now, I was out in North Carolina this past weekend and left my escort at my brothers place. I told him not to drive it because is has bald Dunlop summer tires on it and we were suppose to get snow back home in Minnesota. I got a call from him Saturday night saying he rear ended a truck with my car while it was snowing... I'll post pics of the damage as soon as I get to a computer. Anyone got a GT front bumper for sale? Lol

I do. Cheap. Some damage and previous owner cut out the fog lamp buckets to clear the intercooler. Prefer not to ship though.

EDIT: Check the FS section. Drunkinmist just put an EGT bumper up for sale as well.

I've been sick the past couple weeks and just got out of the hospital on Thursday. (PNEUMONIA & Lung infection) so I haven't been able to do much to either car. I was able to finally change out the starter today, and in just the nick of time, when it started snowing. "YIKES"
My lungs aren't able to handle the colder air right now, so It'll be awhile till I'm able to post any updates! Later!

Been busy with the escort this year, and have been busy with family issues.
Haven't been able to update this forum, but figured it about time I did.
The Pony has gone through a mini evolution and has moved closer to my goal.
So heres the Ponys evolution in pictures.

    Her they are installed.
That was back in December. Haven't done much since! My Pony had an electrical fire right before Christmas. Engine was fine and my new header and intake were fine. Had to replace the Wire harness, battery, starter, brake resevour, and fuse box. Everything has been replaced and is in shop to be double checked and triple checked. Don't want that to happen again. When done, I'll post pictures of the new OBX header and a few things I've done while waiting to get my car back.

Update! Was at the junk yard on Saturday and found a nice pair of sideskirts on an Escort wagon, and couldn't resist. Paid only $10 for the pair. Painted them and installed. 140914_0002.jpg 140914_0003.jpg 140914_0004.jpg 140914_0005.jpg
