Yeah, I hate the shift towers, but the mtx is SOOO nice.
I remember (in a non vct zx3) how fun it was to shift at 6,700 and be right in the power for the next gear... Until 70, then everyone would catch back up lol

Had to change the radiator again....The new one was leaking at the fittings for a trans cooler (mine is an MTX). Found out the o-ring on the cooler side of the tank was only sealing about 3/4 of the way and was deformed. Thankfully my old one just needed a good cleaning.

Now that the Red 98 is running again, I got some other things done. I converted the pass door to have a lock actuator (had the driver's only rke) and converted to power mirrors. Got a good headliner out of the JY (mine had a few small holes in it). Just need to get the Silver 02 done so I can do my struts...

Been a while since I've posted here. Time to update the 98's... The Toreador Red is still my DD and has had a couple things done to it since the engine replacement.

    Sport seats
    03 wheels
    03 faceplate
replaced the front bumper and hood with ones from a wrecked 01 I picked up
Still trying to get time to do the rear disc conversion...

    Light Denim Blue
Finally got the Sport seats for it also. This doesn't see very many miles any more, don't want to put 60 miles a day on it. Need to reseal the upper oil pan and find a leak in the a/c.

Have a few other projects going, will post about them... 2018-04-21a 1998 Ford ZX2 Toreador Red with 03 wheels.jpg 2018-04-16a 1998 Ford ZX2 Light Denim Blue and Toreador Red.jpg

Nice rides, really like the blue one though. I think red needs some love, at least some new rims maybe lol.

The top pic is older, the bottom was taken right after I put on a set of NOS 2003 rims (couldn't find my new centers, but I have them now). The Red is my DD and the chassis has 205k (100k on engine). The Blue has 101k on it.

Selling the Toreador Red 98..... The fleet is too big and I want to start on the S/R I got a year ago...
The 03 wheels on the car will not go with it, putting either the 14" steels or the swirlies back on. Hoping to sell it as it is, but I may put it back stock...
More info in my other post (Here I go again)...

The GF's daughter likes the Light Denim Blue 98 better than the Dark Blue 99 Sport she is driving, so I may let take that one over.
