I Recently Painted My Valve Cover/ Rocker Cover what ever you wanna call it, i painted it Ford Blue, with Dupli Color Engine Enamel which can with stand 500 degrees of heat, i gave it two coats let it dry for about hour or more and put it back on, it looked good, so the next day i went to tape it up and stuff to paint the 1.9 and for symbol white, i noticed it was gooey and it was really sticky, so i scraped the project and went to the junkyard for a new valve cover, the guy was really nice and let me have it for free
so, right now my freinds dad will take it to his work and sandblast it and get the new valve cover nice and clean for me,
but i was wondering if any of you guys have suggestions on how i can make my next cover better, and what kinda things i should do, cuz i can always leave the other cover on if i need to let the new one dry for a couple days or something

What you failed to do is cure the paint. After painting, let dry about an hour then install. Then run the engine at idle for another hour to let the paint cure with the heat. After which you should have no problems.
