OMG I want one sooooo bad!
So far I have only been able to find them for sale accross seas (due to fords rally plant that was located in the United Kingdom) anyone ever seen one for sale here in the us?
Buy a car from over there then add in the shipping costs, paper costs emission changes and some other changes that need to be done will more than likely double the cost of the car :p

Check out the link below for the Escort RS Cosworths for sale in the UK:

I've seen a few here in Canada. Importing cars into Canada is a lot easier than the US. Basically anything 12 years and older can be imported into Canada. That's why every high school parking lot is full of RHD GTR's and RX7's.

If you think the Cosworths are cool you should check out the Ford Typhoon from down-under. Saw one a Ford car club show here.

The general look of the car is nice, but the spoiler would definitely go if I had it. I'd just put something more normal on it. It just looks too rice.

That "rice" is what makes it take corners like it's on rails ;)

If you put a different spoiler on it, it won't decrease it's handling, and plus it's used more for higher speeds, not the speeds you take corners at.

Ok you can
now.
I don't understand what I said was so negative. You have to be honest, if that spoiler was on a Honda you guys would be ripping on it for eternity, but just because it's on a cosworth you've in love with it. You know it was just a marketing trick for the car and nothing else. Hence why you don't see any other cars with the same spoiler. I'm just trying to be logical here.

They are ripping on you because its original equipment exclusive to the Escort Cosworth and same spoiler that was used on the Escort Cosworth rally cars. Its also fully functional and makes more since aerodynamically than the ones you put on a deck lid. The car also has the power and performance to back it up. Its the biggest signature of the Cosworth. An Escort Cosworth isn't an Escort Cosworth without that spoiler.

I'm sure they could have gotten just as much downforce in the back by other means, but that was simply the most radical way to make a bold statement and to give it recognition. Like you said, a cosworth escort isn't a cowsworth without it. I was just stating that I think it looks hideous and if I were to have the car I'd replace it with something better. But anyways, obviously you guys love the whale tail lol, so I'm gonna stop perpetuating this argument.

yes we love the whale tail and thats that :)
oh and vorwarts here is a lil tip the crosworths were meant for corners not high speed ;)
(thus the rally editions were in play throughout the whole production peroid of the car)

I've already known that fact and what they were originally designed for, I just said that the whale tail does not come in to play as much around corners as it does in a straighter line, during which faster speeds are possible, to utilize the down force created by the spoiler.
