Temperatures in Southern Oregon have been unseasonably low lately due to this Mercury Tracer absorbing all the hotness...

pretty much every single escort and tracer in california is rust free. it tends to stay that way since no one really has to choose a rusty out of state car when there are thousands of rust free examples.

i think the rustiest part on this car is the key grooves in the factory wheel locks, well maybe the brake rotors too, to sort of put it into perspective what rust free means around cali

the extra bonus is that pulling parts at the junkyard is super easy since there are no rusted bolts to deal with.


an extra extra bonus for whoever reads this thread is that you can use polishing compound to remove the oxidized paint from the black metal upper door trim. just put some on a rag and give it a go. makes that area look 100x better.

Nice car! And damn that engine bay looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor.

seriously. cars just don't rust here.....ever.

but lts's are very rare to see.

they just get dented and banged up because, as i found out while living in san jose...most californians cant drive
