Removing stock stereo.

    I plan on replacing the stock stereo, I got it half way out but then I feel some resistance like it's stuck from the back. I don't just want to pull it cause I don't know if that'll yank all the wires. It's never been removed before. I drive a 91 two door.

    Do you have the proper tools to take the radio out? It's a pair of U-shaped tools that slip into the holes on the sides of the radio. I have found that even with these proper tools, you have to wiggle them side to side to push the locking tabs aside.

    Yes I did that. It took a while but I was able to pull the radio about half way out. Then it's just like stuck.
