I just took my timing belt off a few weeks ago and I had the engine out (doing some major work and trans and clutch so took it all out for easier access) and to remove that bottom timing belt cover you gotta take the pulley off because there's a bolt behind it, a 10mm, you might be able to get it out with a ratchet wrench if you wanna try but I doubt it's gonna clear the pulley on the way out man. it might, I just zipped the pulley off, like I said it's just 4 10mm bolts that are about 10 ft lbs of torque or less and then the crank pulley should just slide off, if not tap it lightly with a rubber mallet side to side.
that's my 2 cents worth best of luck!!!
