this should be really straight forward right? im removing them all because im building a 3rd gen circle track car. the waterpump is driven off the timing belt, correct?

only thing electric that the car will be running is fan and ignition system, think one battery will last a 200 mile enduro, or should i go with two batteries? or would the weight of the second battery offset the HP gain of removing the altenator?

thanks in advance.

Pretty sure the water pump is driven by the accessory belt. the oil pump should be driven by the timing belt.

The water pump is driven by the timing belt.

There is a post somewhere on the board where a guy drove his escort 75 miles without a serpentine belt on two batteries.

The 3G water pump is driven by the timing belt, and not by the accessories belt.

For racing use a deep charge or marine battery they hold charge better and it can be completely drained. The alternator consumes more HP than two batteries.
