Ok, so I basically find whatever excuses I can to drink, as I'm sure most of you OT'ers have noticed. But tonight, my ultimate regret showed up at work, and it was more than I could take. So I would like to take this opportunity to start a thread for everyone's biggest regret(that is, if you care to share it). I'll start with mine.

Seeing a married woman while still living with my ex-girlfriend of 4.5 years.

Not taking some of those buckets of money I stumbled into and
starting a Rod Shop. I'd be rich by now, and Escorts would be the
    "Kings Of Tuner Cars"!
I guess all those "Mini-Retirements" weren't worth it after all.

Buying a 1981 Triumph TR7 convertible. Looked good but I could never get it to be road worthy. I had it for about 4 years. I was in way over my head. I tried to give it away for two years with no takers. I finally put a $100 price tag on it. It sold that same day. I regret buying the stupid thing. It was a very expensive lesson (about $4000 total). Every time I would try to unbolt something it would break.
The guy who bought it, told me he sank about $20000 into it so far. It looks sharp now.

when i was 15 i started taking lessons to get my private pilot license. i was paying for it with money from a savings bond my grandfather put in my name before he died, and i ran outta money to keep it up a little while after i turned 16, when i was well beyond the halfway point. i just kinda gave up hope, and i wish i'd just tried harder to find a way to complete it. at 22, i'd have had my license for 6 years now and i could probably be flying professionally.

Quitting school. Granted, I couldn't afford to stay, but I should have robbed a bank or something. Once you get out it's real hard to get back in. (that's what she said, etc.)

I regret not sinking $10,000 into Sun Micro 16 years ago when I couldn't quite bring myself to sink every cent I had into it. I was literally a coin flip away from doing it.

10 years later, that would have been > $300,000.

Either way, I'd still be driving the same Escort that's in my driveway now :D .

This thread makes me want to sing...

    *clears throat*

    Regrets, I've had a few.
But then again, too few to mention...
I did what I had to do.
    I did it my way.

Oh yeah, I've go the Sid Vicious version going in my head, not old Blue Eyes.
