rear windshield wiper not working...

I own a 95 escort LX wagon 5sp and the rear windsheild wiper doesn´t work. I bought it used, so I dunno what the guy before me did to it, but when I flip the switch, nothing happens. However, the WASH for the rear windshield works, but the wiper still doesn´t.

I´m thinking it´s a loose connection or a bad wiper motor, but the fuse is good. Any suggestions on how to fix it?
