Hi, just had my car up on a lift for exhaust inspection...look to the tuning section for bitching on that but anyway i noticed and the tech pointed out anyway that on my passenger side, rear....my factory stabilizer bar had come disconnected (the bolt rusted through) from the suspension. I figure I am going to get it fixed why not get a new aftermarket stabilizer bar...I know they exist cuz some of you guys have them. Where do I get one....

The only one I know of now is the Suspension Techniques bar. They are reasonably priced too. Most import shops and websites can get them. I would mention the compass motorsports bar but they are no longer available due to the disapperance of the compass motorsports´ guys. Another option would be to get a bar from a GT, unless you have a GT already. They are slightly thicker.

The effect you´re going after is (probably) to make the tail-end easier to swing, helping you during cornering. If so, increasing the REAR swaybar size by upgrading will accomplish your goal. But remember that the effect of a swaybar is to tighten whichever end its placed on. So installing one of the front end will make it more prone to UNDERSTEER, the opposite of your goal.

When I looked up the Suspension Techniques swaybars using the link above, I noticed they are listed as fitting 91-95 3dr Escorts.

Shouldn´t a swaybar fit any body style Escort (or Topaz for that matter)???
Shouldn´t it also fit a 96?

Would these swaybars be a worthwhile upgrade on an LX? In what way would the handling be improved?

Well I have the answer for all of you! I know i do not post much but when i do i wanna help cause I never know when I will need help.

Go to ctamotorsports.com they make a rear stab with bushings and hardware included(i am assuming its a 2nd or 3rd gen scort)

I put it on my car along with the ractive tie bar and i am loving it!! Its easy installation is nice to. The cost for the stab with the bushings is 150+S&H

GTo see what ya think
