what do i need to do to a 2nd generation escort lx to get the rear disk conversion for the zx2 to fit? has anybody done the conversion and if so what do you think of it?

What rotors and pads do you like best that are suitable for a non antilock brake wagon meant to be a daily driver? If it helps, the stock configuration made me happy enough. I don´t want something too powerful, just something consistent through the temperature range that I won´t have to replace often.

What wheels are affected by the parking brake, just one or both rears or is it a compination of front and back?

Thank you to all who offer good advice.

if i were to use your spindles, disks, calipers, what else do I need? What, if anything do I need to convert other than that previously stated (cables, clamps, any of that minor stuff that you never think about till you actually are halfway into the job)?

I dont believe there are any kits or anything but he´s right, all you need to do is take apart a GT. Because everything is same-o same-o. Or yeah an MX3 would work...or even Tracer LTS if you you like specifics.

I would think the hardest part of it would be getting new wheel bearings (expensive for GT´s) And figuring out how to hook up the E-Brake.
