Just a suggestion....

I'm pretty sure that you can take large soup cans and mold them in pretty inexpensively. Any soup can will do. Then you take a light bulb and stick in there................

you want them for street use? would those be legal in saskatoon? I would think that they'd be shining right into the guy in front of your's rear view causing instant blindness and temporary insanity...which would then turn into a possible horribly messy accident. Do you want that? tsk tsk.

Anyway....since you have a 2nd gen GT...I'm sure you could get a set that would more fit onto your hood from a Cossie and pay an arm and a leg for them to be shipped to your house.

well, i just got back in from a wicked rallye practice session.. *i gotta make you guys a vid of me doin this.. im pretty damned good*.. and anyways.. i just need more light.. not driving down the street light.. i need light on backroads light.. you think i would have to buy individual lights and make my own stuff for it? i could design something pretty decent.. but DOING it might be hard.. :S ..

and i could hook them up to a toggle switch so when someone is driving towards me with there brights.. INSTANDBLINDNESS!!! hehehehe  teach them a thing or 2

Those guys have what you need, Nuke.

The hood mounted pods are super expensive and require a mounting system. I plan to mount my Hella 530 driving lights on top of my front bumper, between the headlamps, sometime this spring.. but they're for on-road use. You can buy some off-road lamps and do the same thing.

Another option is to make your own light bar. Have an exhaust shop fab you a strong aluminum tube that wraps up and over the front bumper and has room across the top for 4 lights. Then you'll need to have some brackets made so that you can take them on and off. As long as the pipe is made to slide over the brackets, you can probably just lock them in place with some large pins. Then you add a wiring connector near one of the bracket mounts and you've got a custom rally bar.

You could even modify or remove the grille so that your bar could bolt in right behind the grille. *shrug*

You remember bpletch1, right? He's a backroads rally fan too.
