www.corksport.com go to the Escort/323 link and go under intake/exhaust. there´s a GTX manifold for 180 bucks. get that, and then ask them to locate an IHI RB5 (or is it 25? i can never remember) turbo for you. That way you have a turbo and a manifold that was BUILT for the 1.8 BP. Your best bet is to find an intercooler off of an old Chrysler conquest(?), and have someone custom bend you some intercooler and intake piping. Also, be sure to upgrade your fuel system. I´ve heard 2nd generation RX-7 turbo fuel injectors work beautifully, depending on how much boost you want to run. ;-)
Hope this helps in some way. and someone help me out on those two if-fy spots. I´m not 100% sure on the name of the turbo or the car that Blade got the intercooler from.

Yes, thats it. Thanks for clearing that up for me (and him). I need to write that down for future reference. ;-)

I believe the turbo on the 1st gen Eclipse is a T25 (I don´t know which make... Garrett? Turbonetics?), which should work fine with the escort motor if you can get the manifold for it to bolt to. I don´t know if a T25 will bolt up to the flange at corksport.

What condition is the turbo in? Be sure there´s no play and that it spins freely.. no use taking the time to install a POS turbo.. It´s going to spin at some incredibly high rpms and you don´t want it to start throwing little bits of compressor wheel into your intake if it´s defective.

lol that´s actually becoming a common question!

it´s when a Scort blows away a puny civic in a race and the civic driver´s jaw drops to the floor, it goes ´bump´. ;-)

but in another case, when no one replies to a thread in a long time, and it leaves the "Last 25 Posts", and the original poster still wants feedback they reply to their own post, bumping it back to the top of the list. hence, ´bump´
