How do you get access to the rear strut mount bolts? Does the rear panels and seats need to be removed?

In my wagon I was able to get to them by removing the speaker grills. I think the others are similar.
Check for rust after you get them out. It's a common problem area. Look up inside from the wheel cavity.

On the 2dr hatch you have to remove all the rear interior panels. If you just remove the panels in the trunk you can trim the other 2 panels to gain access to the last nut.

i know u have to take them out on wagons too. i plan to leave mine out cuz i'm gonna put in a rear strut tower bar sometime soon.

Are the rear struts for the 91 to 96 escorts all the same?

I just did them on my '95 wagon and I only removed the speaker and grill. I also have front and rear strut bars.
