just so you know im lost on this, lookin for ideas, my girlfriend has a 93 Grand Am GT. and i was driving it today and there is a slight scraping when just driving, then when you hit the brakes it feels like the pedal is being pushed back up, a very gradual pulsing. And when you hit the brakes and let go of the wheel it pulls to the right. im leaning torwards a bent rotor on the left side. Hoping for some input here, im gonna take a look at the rotor tomorrow. I want to know if it could be something else?

If the "pulse rate" of the pedal changes with the speed of your car, then I'd say you can be pretty sure it's a warped rotor.

I just did my wifes 95 grand am GT front brakes a little while ago.
Its pretty cheap and easy to do.
This one has drums in the back.
The little squeker that tell you when to change the brakes broke off, and so I kept on putting it off.....those where the worst pad I'v every seen, cracked, destroyed, paper thin. The rotors were all chewed up, and warped.

if it pulls to the right it would be on the right side..... or an alignment issue but not if it only happens when you hit the brakes.

When the rotors are warped your steering wheel will "dance" too. Mine on my Scort were warped...mainly on the right side. The pads were worn at an angle 8O Each rotor cost $13.99 and the pads were Auto Zone Lifetime, so no charge! :laughing6:
