This new thread was started to better track my car´s progress. See the ´Read the freakin manual´ thread for earlier notes related to this car. The short version: I got a ´91 LX for $100, and plan to build a rice-rocket knock-off just for kicks.

The most recent changes occured Thanksgiving Day. I removed the temporary Tracer headlamps and gille and installed proper Escort lights and grille. It still wears the Tracer bumper and hood, tho. Also, upgraded hi-intnsity bulbs went in, too. A new picture will hit the showcase tomorrow.

And, believe it or don´t, I just got a lead on a "good running" ´91 GT with light front end damage for $400. If it pans out, the SVT may be built on a much better starting point.

My bad. I added a nested album below the original to show my other car, the ´95 Tracer. That nested album shows in the main album as a fifth pic. I already went in and killed the Tracer stuff, so I´m back to 4 pics.

As for the edit, it´s done using Paint Shop Pro, by JASC Software. Glad you like it. That pic will be updated soon, as I alter the plan as the car progresses....but it´s generally what I´m shooting for.

Yeah. Nice scort concept!
You mentioned differences between 91-92 and 93-96 scorts making your engine swap difficult. What differences? I thought 91-96 1.9L scorts were all the same mechanically.
Please enlighten us!
