yes, with great modification it will.

there was some other member who managed to fit one in his egt. i forget his name, but by reference, im sure someone will give you a direct link.

There's been a few people to do it. One other guy in Ontario I also seen on the website.

I can't find the pics here or on cardomain, but scortworks also put the 1.8v6 from an MX3 in his car.

probe GT base HP is 167, if you ask me I just think it's better to go with the KLZE or the BPT since your doing that modification to the engine bay you mite as well get more HP with a different engine!

what he said. if you're going to pop a 2.5 V6 in there get the KLZE v6, not the probe gt kl03.

You can go the cheap route and put the probe engine in. It'd be cheaper to find a smashed one in your area then outright order a JDM engine like the klze

later, if you so desire, corksport has the cams, intakes, cpus etc for the klze and you could try and hubrid it that way. I wonder how well that would work ...

Yeah thats wat i was thinking, around here we dont have many salvage yards and engines like the spi and bpt and klze would definitly be hard to come by but I have a pretty rare chance of picking up a low km probe engine so thats why I was asking. Wat level of fabrication are we talking about here, engine mounts, then splice the wiring harness and the half shafts?

This guy here Has done a true klze swap. He recommends having a precidia GS front clip for the swap because apparently it's a direct swap into that platform. He has more information then I do.

I'm doing this swap. But I'm using a JDM 2.5 liter (KLZE) instead of the probe/mx-6 or 1.8 Mx-3 motor. I just finished stripping a 93 MX3 GS donor yesterday so all the parts are currently being cleaned and detailed before being installed in my wagon.

You will need a great deal off parts off of an MX3 for this swap. Axles, mounts, crossmember, all air conditioning lines and power steering line if you decide to keep them. As well as wiring if you decide to run one of the factory ECU's.

I'm going to be running Megasquirt, so I'm just doing everything I need to get it physically mounted in my car.

Feel free to drop me a line or just post your questions here. I'm going to start stripping my tracer this week, so I'll have answers to alot of fitment and compatibility questions very soon.
