I'm requesting that anyone of faith and trust in God to pray for my family. My wife walked out 1 week ago without letting me know she was leaving or giving any explanation of where she was going or why. We've had troubles in the past but the last 3 years had been the best 3 years of our marriage. She won't talk to me and friends have tried to get her to talk to them but nothing seems to be working. She needs a touch from God to soften her heart about whatever the problem is so we can begin talking and trying to work out whatever the problem is and can get our family back together. Thanks in advance for all your prayers. I know God can and will answer prayer if we pray hard enough and have faith. We've been married for 27 years and just when it was the best it's ever been she leaves.

Thanks Gamer92. I know God can and will answer prayer if we'll put our trust and faith in him.

Yeah just left didn't even tell me she was leaving. She supposedly went to work on Tuesday morning last week and didn't come home that afternoon and hasn't been back since. Her sisters both live about 500 miles away and she doesn't drive. She's probably staying with someone that she works with because I know she's still working and getting a ride to work.

Thanks for the prayers, my wife finally called me today and we spent a good while on the phone with one another discussing things that were bothering her that I wasn't aware of. She's not committed to coming back yet but I think now if I'll leave her a little bit of space and time to think everything will be worked out. Just because I say these things don't stop praying, lift our problems up to the Lord every chance you get. Anyone who says prayer doesn't work doesn't know the God that I know.

Guy's thanks for the prayers. We've been in communication over the last 4 days and saw one another 2 of those days. She's saying she wants a long term separation of about 1 year but that we will see one another often and go out to do things together. I really don't like the idea of a year separate but I'm better prepared for that than going through a divorce. I love her and I'm sure she loves me so if the long term separation is what she needs to be happy and work through her problems I'm going to go along with it. Everyone just keep praying and asking God to give us a permanent resolution to this problem and we can get back together and never have this happen again. I'm hoping that God will see fit that she can work out her problems in less than a year and we can reunite much sooner with a permanent fix for our marriage. Thanks again for the prayers.

someone is forgetting their vows. giving time spans on breakups is just a way of sugar coating the inevitable. i am seriously sorry to hear this. but marriage is not like dating. you don't get breaks. it toys with emotions that are hard to mend. i honestly hope she pulled her head out of her ass and comes back or just files. for your sanity sake.

The Holy Spirit moves hearts, even those presumed "lost"-- such as the heart of Christian persecutor Saul (who became St. Paul), and a legion of others.

In addition to praying for your wife, it is important to pray for your children (even after 27 years, they suffer, too), as well as for yourself, that all of you hear and heed God's counsel through the Holy Spirit-- which may be the most challenging aspect, of all. Challenging, not in the sense of extremely difficult, but in the sense of unraveling knots, which takes time and patience. Most "people problems" have many dimensions, and often involve pilot error-- people typically resist (unexpected and/or inconvenient) truth.

Can you indicate your wife's first name? It is customary when praying to ask on behalf of a named person. God knows His own sheep, however, even those caught in brambles and separated.

"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek and ye shall find, knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh, receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened." Matthew 7:7-8
