hey there fellow escort owners of america, i have a 95 plain jane escort with power window probs, the prob is that the window seems to be slipping as i put it up, sounds like the gear is jumping inside, and alot of times i have to hold the switch over and over to get it to go up, anyone familar with the inside of the door panel, what could be the prob? i can hear the gear slipping, anyone have a pic of the door assy they would like to email me. ? and also i am looking for the triangular sports rims that go with my escort anyone have a set of 4 they want to sell? let me know im very serious on getting them. thanks Donna :-D

To answer your questions, I don´t have any pic of the inside of a 95 Escort door, but I do have some sggestions for you. You will have to take the door panel off so you can watch the gears operate but you might want to check to see if there is too much clearance between the motor and the window gear. If this is the case you may just be able to loosen the bolts holding the motor in place and move it closer to the main gear. If this is not the case, chek to see if there are any teeth missing on either gear, or watch to see if the motor itself is falling back as it trys to push the window up. If there is a tooth missing then you will have to get a new motor. If the motor is falling back it is worn out, and you may be able to find an electrical repair shop that might be able to rebuild it for you, or you will have to buy a new one.

The window motors are ussually removable so you might be able to find replacement at a junk yard.

ford also makes a kit that you can rebuild the motor yourself. you can get it from a dealer. I think it´s only about 15 bucks.
