got issues with the radiator fan... must wave wired it up wrong or something. AS such, can only run it for about 10 minutes or so, then the engine is at full temp and I have to shut it down. been putzing with the tune on it.

Gents, the beast is finished. Almost. lol.

It runs, drives, and is a blast, unfortunately, the V8 didnt stick around. After trying like hell for about a month and a half to get it running properly, I got frustrated, fed up, and pulled it out. At the same teim, whoever runs the universe agreed with my idea, and a Cummins 4BT turbodiesel popped up on craigslist for 1200 bucks. I snapped it up, dropped it in, and it has been running perfectly since, with a few minor teething issues at the start. I am getting 18MPG with it to boot around town. Not bad for a 6500 lb truck.

Idle is set high to make it easier to start the first time. Apparently, I didnt need it!

Transmission mount: the engine does lean slightly to the passenger's side. Did it on purpose so that it matches the profile fo the floor better on the transfer case and lets me mount it higher in the frame to give me more ground clearance:

Intercooler setup. My daily drive is a 2005 Audi TT Quattro 225HP model. It provided the inspiration to do dual side mount intercoolers. The intercoolers are from Ford Thunderbird Turbocoupes. I put 1100 CFM fans on each one pulling the air out of the coolers.

And, the new floorpan mocked up. Thats the last part to finish. I have it all welded up (the metal version) just need to drill it for mounting holes.

I upgraded the engine with a bigger turbo, the HX35 off a 6 cylinder dodge, more aggressive fuel pin, turned up the pump, and added the intercoolers. It should make somewhere around 150-160 HP, not a whole lot of HP, but, it also makes north of 400 ft-lb!!

So 150-160 x4 (2 supers and 2 turbos) plus what ever HP the engine is making?

Doesn't the engine you have in there make about 400 HP stock?

    I am so confused!

No, I yanked the V8. I couldnt get it to run right. Would be good one day, and complete crap the next.... was worse than a carburetor!

The 4BT is a 4 cylinder version of the dodge 6BT 6 cylinder cummins diesel. it makes 100HP stock, and 230 Ft-lb.

The 6 cylinder would be too long and heavy to fit in my truck. the 4BT weighs 800 lbs and is 35" long. The 6BT is 1300 lbs and 41" long!

Cool. Glad to see it is running good. That engine should be plenty as my A100 has around 260ft-lbs and hauls pretty good. 400ft-lbs has to be a blast especially with your low gearing.

Great work as usual. The diesel is cool, and will pound out more torque than you can probably find stuff to do with. That said, I must admit a bit of disappointment to see that the twin-charged gas engine didn't work out. I would've loved to see what that thing could do unleashed.
