I'm replacing one of my power steering pressure hoses (pump end), but I need a pressure seal for each hose end, and my new hose only comes with one. I haven't been able to find this item in hardware stores or auto stores. I admit I haven't looked that hard so far, but a brief search on this forum indicates that people looking for this item have trouble finding it.

I've also looked on Mcmaster and Grainger, but they don't seem to have the correct shape.

Does anyone know where to find this part? I'd appreciate it if someone can point me in the right direction. Thanks!

I got a rubber O-ring from a hardware store (in the Dorman boxes). Escort. For the threads of the fitting I put some RTV Ultra Black gasket maker on them before I tightened it down, then waited a day before I started the engine. That is working well on my Escort.

Now that You resurrected this thread - the nylon sealing ring will hold up long term - but my rubber "O" ring only lasted a year before it was leaking again. The nylon sealing ring comes in a bubble pack in the Help line products.

I think my intermediate power steering hose has a small leak, and has been for years. I can not find mention of that particular hose being replaced by anyone here. OF course the front end of my pump hose looks really rusty (which I assume is why it's being replace by everyone else).
