Okay here is my problem I have an ´02 zx2 that runs decent. still stock all the way around (warranty stuff). getting on the interstate floor the throttle and hold it there. All is well in first and second gears, but as soon as it get into third (drive) the power just goes away. if you slowly pick your foot up off the gas suddenly you can feel it begin to pick up speed. floor the pedal away goes the power. it doesn´t matter temperature wise happens anytime. I would rather not try to explain to a dealer why I need to be able to go from a dead stop to 80mph at full throttle. Sounds a lot like drag racing to them. any ideas?

what they think about what you do with your car is irrelevant, if it´s still under warranty I´d take it back if i were you. But, it sounds like the throttle body is either just sticking or it could be something to do with the fuel pump, ecu...really anything. Never heard of that before.
