alright guys... heres how it is:

all of you playing arround with FMU's, you need to take my word for it and throw it up on ebay and buy MS.

ok details...
1)before my motor would go up to 190* and chill there no matter what.
-now my temp stays arround 170* when im hammering on it. normaly it chills arround 130* (where it was when it was stock)

2) in N/A mode i can burn out in second gear

3)the car runs so much better in every condition and throttle position. i candrive arround town doing 30 in 5th gear.

4) with the new turbo, if im at 1500rpm and i punch it, it will be instantly at 3psi regardless. i can hit 7 psi arround 2200

4.5) at about 1/3 throttle @3k i can be at about 3psi..

5)5psi in "1.9 mode" i can keep right up with a turbo 240.. cant wait to experience 15psi in SPI mode 8O

6)if im hammering it and i turn the wheel slightly ill start burning out

7)i have the second MS escort..EVER, EVER.

8) my whole view of FI has been changed. i have realized that: if your going to turbo do it right the first time.

9) remember tuning is everything.

Finally some one understands. "F" piggy back controllers. Stand alone is the way to go. Dose yours have timming control? Full timming control opens up a whole new ball of wax in tunning. I'm suprised I haven't blow my pistons apart with the timming curve I'm running.

escortonspinnaz... take the advice on OneGimps sig there, you are not ready for that yet... MS (MegaSquirt) is a Stand alone feul management system (SAFMS) that he is running on a turboed Setup. once you get a turbo setup ready to go remember this thread and throw a MS computer into it, I've always heard that SAFMS's were better, but I didn't realize that it made that much of a difference.

That's awesome man! Congrats! I love hearing stuff like this. Where people actually DO stuff and report their findings.

I kinda wish that my RX-7 was fuel injected so I could do neat tuning and stuff... but who says you can't tune carbs :D

old skool- hollah!

Nobody is doubting your skills, it is just his signature... most of the guys on here who have actually done the turbo setup have spent more time researching and planning how to execute their setup than most people have even spent in the bathroom their entire lives...

I think it would be safest for you to do a bit of research first before you jump into that one. I'm sure you are capable of doing something ot your car, and if not then I guess you have the money it will take to pay someone to install it. but until you at least understand what they are talking about and the abbreviations they are using then it is probably safe to say that you realy aren't ready to tangle with a complicated and somewhat dangerous install like a turbo.

EDIT: oh and spinnaz, I never insulted your rims, I actually stood up for you if you read your original thread oasking waht to do next, I am trying to help you out here. but You just proved to me that you don't know what you are talking about yet, since Escorts are already fuel injected. I've yet to see a 2G Escort that was carbed. Not to be a jerk, just stating my opinion, and telling you what Im' sure all of the guys with Turbos are thinking as well. These cars don't have a turbo kit ahtt is produced almost everything is taken from another car. so if you have amazing skills at making kits appear tehn cool, hook me up too, but It takes a while to even get your hands on all the stuff to turbo, especially for us over in Upland, Rancho, Fontana and those areas, I'm sure you've noticed that there aren't a lot of huge J/Y's like some of htese other guys have right nearby.

this doesn't have alot of bad things in it so no editing

Neuman: I haven't had any posts edited, I have no beef with anyone, no matter how much trash they talk about me.

Good point Elektronical... he never did say he had one, but I htink it still stands that this is like the whole thing that got everyone so riled up about people who are just starting getting the idae that a Turbo (or in this case MegaSquirt fuel system) is the first step to take. So I guess I should just reinforce my statement that I was in no way attacking escortonspinnaz, I was merely recommending that he not worry about a SAFMS until he can round up all the necessary components for a turbo, I too am highly intrigued by this thread and look forward ot finding out how much this allran Jeff, but I also know that it is pointless for me to get all excited about a computer that for my Stock Scort isn't going to really do anything as of yet.

No Hard Feelings I hope Spinnaz, you honestly seem like a good guy, you just seem a bit too enthusiastic and defensive at the moment, just mellow out and take your time, It'll all come together sooner or later, and I do happen to know a bit abou tturbo applications if you wantto meet up I can show you some places ot go to start looking for the components you need and any info you might want. or you could just use the search button and find it in one of hte many other threads dedicated ot turbo setups and the effort that goes into getting one built.

alright guys just stop with the crap. this is my how-to and i dont want it all phuked up by you guys.

yes the MS has total and complete control over the timing curve. its been moded to control the EDIS system that the 1.9/2.0 have. its totaly customizeable.

the software allows you to modify all the possible variables, run log-mode, burn-on-the-fly...

I finally got some modivation back and started working on the 96turbo'd gt. Pulled out the leaking radiator intake and upper intercooler pipe so I can pull the tranny again :x . I remounted my nitrous silonoids at that point I decied I'm going to do some serious cleaning up of the haltech E6K wireing that I've been putting off doing for so long. I think I spent 3 hours ripping out electrical tape. Going to be removing unnessasary factory wireing while I'm at it so I don't have loose wires hanging all over the place. I could take some pic's but it's not much to look at but a bunch of wires right now.

im still working on the how-to. the MS with the EDIS can control the timing in any shape or form you can think of.you can even make it fire when its 180out. its really cool. you can set it for auto boost retard. the hardest part is making the VE table and the timing map. tuning totaly depend on the motor.
