I am currently in contact with a plastic injection moulding company about having some clear tails made for 2nd gen escorts. I plan to have them made and pay for them myself and then sell them to all of you. I am not out to make a ton of money here i just want to know if it would be worth it for me or if i will end up with thousands of dollars in tail lights just to have mine made. So let me know what sounds like a good price for a set to you. Also, if anyone has any designs or ideas on how they should look let me know.

Find out how much it costs to mass produce them, make a set of 10-15 and see how people like them. They need to have a few qualities to be worth any amount of money,

1st, they need to be durable, 2nd they need to be 100" functional, and 3rd, they need to be catchy. If they look, perform and function great, you shouldn't have a problem selling them. What gen are you talking about making them for? If you make a set for the second gen, let me know and take a picture, I may be interested, since I have all my replacement LED signal, fog, and tail lights ordered.

clear tails are meant for mexified ricer mobiles. I hate trucks with them. and the lights are so small you can barely see them.

well, i dont see my rear lights while im driving so that doesnt bug me a whole lot lol. i was just thinking clear lenses, with some black or dark styling, cuz if theyre gonna be all chrome and shiny like all the aftermarket honda tailights and stuff, then i dont think they should even be made in the first place. lol

Thanks for the style suggestion racethisescort89. Im not real sure on the design yet i definately dont want to go altezza style. The clear lenses with the black backdrop are more my style. I was also in the garage looking at my 06 GTO tails and something like that i think would look good. Keep the ideas coming in. As for the wagons i would like to do something with them seeing as how i have one of those too. Let me know if they are any ideas on this too.
