Polish on, Polish off, wax on, wax off

I just polished and waxed my car in about 2 hours....half assed....hehe and it still looks about 10 times better and shinier (is that a word?) than it did before. I had to hurry cause the sun was goin down and i couldn´t see where i´d wiped the wax off from anymore. If you don´t already, polish and wax your Scort, keep it pimpin.
My paint was all faded and pinkish on the wing, now it´s red again...it´s cool. Tell me all...what do you all use when you wax your cars? i used some Maguires polish then some Kit wax. it looks pretty good, but my boss says Mothers polish/wax is better.

My friend´s dad is a Krown Dealer, so I use Krown 2 step cleaner/wax/polish stuff
.

Can´t argue with the price FREE. Actually the stuff works really well and shines ,oh so nice.

Maquires for the paint and 303 protectant for all black parts (plastic, rubber and leather).

Charlie I agreed 100% Mequires all the way. I detailed for a living for a few years and that is the best stuff on the market. If you can find it they make a dual action cleaner polish. no swirl marks or anything.
If you want to quickly detail your car for photos, try using Windex. It´s great for a quick shine, and really brings clarity to your paint. Once shined, you can snap photos, etc. BUT, once you´re done, wash the car down. Otherwise, the Windex residue is sticky and will attract dust. It´s only good for a short-term shine.
I think i´ll stick to what says "car wax" on the bottle

might i suggest "Eagle One Wet"...

i use it on my Contour (Show Winner)
i use it on my Cobra (Show Winner)

and i just used it today on my girls scort...needless to say it looks very nice...

cant appreciate the shine till around dusk...just looks oh so wet...by far the best product i have ever used...
Hey laz, do you own an SVT Contour or a GL model, or the other model (can´t remember the other designation)?
I´ve only seen 3 SVT Contours here in my city since i found out about them about 3 months ago. I think they´re pretty sweet and they have tons of power to them.
I have used everything under the sun (quite literally), and have yet to find the perfect polish/wax. Over the years, I have found that the Meguire´s professional line of products are the best for a complete job, NuFinish is the best "quick´n´dirty", and Mother´s Back to Black is best for spoilers whose UV is dead and constantly fade to white.

Lately, however, I have come across several very convincing testimonials from friends on Zainos Brothers products. The folks who use it swear that is the best stuff on earth, and the website has a pretty good story to tell. I am intrigued enough to think about trying some of their products. If anyone has tried them, I would be interested in hearing an opinion.

Wax on, wax off, James-sahn.

Marcus

i have a contour gl...

the designations are GL, LX, SE, SVT

my conrour has the zetec inline 4 with kkx intake and i also have exhaust work...lots of other stuff done too...its not a rocket by any means, but its unique to have a contour in these days of civics and such...

as far as zaino products...the people from both contour online clubs swear by them...almost everyone uses zaino on there...but i refuyse to pay that much money for a product that I feel i get the same results from with eagle one...or meguiars for the matter...

but if you wanted to know if they do work...yes i have heard numerous accounts of people being happy with zaino products...

I just use turtle wax. Looks nice and does a good job protecting. I´m the only person in my town that actually waxes their escort... lol
