Yeah I had the same problem...I could not get to school one day beacause my shifter said it was on park, but it really was not it was on reverse. The battery was fine I could listen to the radio the electrical systems were on. So, try putting it in neutral like some people said because that is how I get my car started in the morning. Or force it into park push it up more.
