The timing belt is in place, My towing probably wont cover the cost of going 34 miles and I dont have the money to pay for the extra miles.

I took the coil wire and connected it to the strut tower bolt and didnt hear any sparks...would that confirm a no spark situation...no one is around that could help me look for spark...

it tries to turn over but wont....the only warning i had was a bucking in 5th gear after coming off the interstate at high speed.

34 miles is a long way to walk

If I move the key back and forth a few times it actually started...tried to restart it after that and it wouldnt....well the towing company is coming and is covering the 34 miles for under $80

I dont know if it is the same thing but my 92 egt did kind of what yours did with the not starting and then finally starting after a little while then not starting again. I ended up having to get the starter replaced and it solved the problem for me.

Are all the spark wires in place? When I checked out my air filter, i accidently knocked my module wire off the distributor and didn´t realize it until it didn´t start. When I opened the hood it was laying there. Also, who did the timing belt? it could be off just so much that it´s not getting the compression right. but it did start once so I don´t know, for me it´d worth a shot to check the timing 100% anyway. You could get a new starter too like trashknight said. For a first Gen I think it´ll be right around 100 bucks.
