Where did you connect your ground wire? I think mine is getting some major voltage drop from not being grounded well.

I think it will be fine i got the ground hooked to the chassis of the car i got 2 grounds actually one for the cap and one for the amp. I got the ground wires hooked to the bolts that hold the top of the rear seat in .And no i got a different amp powering the sub since my old kenwood died i think i overheated it to many times now i got a kenwood kac9103d amp and im running at 2 ohms so the sub is getting 900 watts to it 898.5 to be exact.

Why does everyone knock my system? Its louder than when i had my 2 12 inch kenwoods in it and they were in a ported box plus the sound quality is better. And i have more trunk space oh well i guess each to his own right?

YOUR SYSTEM gets knocked! Try having 2 12" Sony Xplods with a Xplod amp. There's even a thread dedicated to how much people some people hate Sony.

I think they sound pretty good myself and they were only $150 for the whole setup but damn do I get heat.

Yeh well i guess im sry for wasting my money then. I still think its better than when i had the kenwoods in kenwoods subs just sounded like crap imo i like this better im not tryign to persuade no one just saying. I wasnt going to buy audiobahn there subs are crap their new ones the old ones are good but i dont have a ebay account so im stuck with this for now. Maybe i will keep the box and buy a 12 inch jl and lose dbs and possibly blow the sub cause it wont be rated for the power im running.

clean and loud is a zapco ag200 running an older beat up JL w6 10. i dunno the DB and i don't care. its clean and loud enough. its no where near my 3 -15's i had in the red car at one point. but that was pointless.

have you ever looked at JL's site? the power curve of a JL subs is nuts. its rated power on the box and what it will really handle are totally different.

also power doesnt blow subs as fast as distortion!

all you gotta do is build the right enclosure for that sub and you can shut up the critics. JL = LOL

Yeh i just had a bad experience with a jl before i bought this sub. And this sub sounds good to me plus it handles the power so im happy i think it might have been distortion that killed my jl to.

lol that is quite true as well

i wish people would realize the gain knob is NOT a volume control

yeah. there is a reason why on a lot of the custom systems i built we made it so that the owners cant get to the controls. cause there is nothing worse than when we spend hours tuning a system then have the customer just turn around and crank the gains

very true! i spent a few times in my car with different styles of music to tune my stereo. what helped me tune it in the best was going to the drive-in-movies. granted its not the cleanest signal but its the place that got me to realize some of my midbass was not hitting.

what i do with everyone car i touch is listen to an assortment of music. a few guys just wanted loud so i made it loud. but those guys hardly ever listen to anything but rap an purely for the bass.
